From City Screens to Highland Scenes
We are two software engineers who have always been driven by a passion for craftsmanship and an adventurous spirit. Our life motto has always been simple: do not fear challenges, and never stop trying new things.
As our profession began to shift with the rise of AI, we decided to listen to the call of our hearts and dedicate ourselves to what we love most—artisan baking, handcrafted goods, and living in rhythm with nature.
In 2023, we finally broke free from the relentless pace of City life. We were weary of the suffocating morning crowds, the hours spent commuting, and the creeping feeling that we were losing our spark. Something deep within told us that the city path was not our own. Craving the quiet intensity of remote landscapes over the roar of urban life, we took a leap of faith to see where a new adventure might lead.
We traded the South of England for the wild, beautiful serenity of Fersit, a tiny, remote hamlet in the Lochaber area of the Scottish Highlands.

At FERSÙNAIR, we are a family-run venture committed to celebrating local craftsmanship and encouraging adventure. We believe in the healing power of the natural world, which is why our days are shared with our beloved bees, chickens, and our high-energy, sensitive Border Collie, Ember. She is the heart of our home and will always be the first to greet you, eagerly showing off her favourite toy as she wiggles with excitement.
Our mission is to share the magic of this place with you. We pour our hearts into our craft, working from the dead of night until the sun rises to ensure you have warm, freshly baked artisan pastries, crusty sourdough bread, and delicate handmade confectionery waiting for you.
For the adventurers among us, our high-protein handmade confectionery provides the perfect energy boost for tired hikers looking to recharge on the trail. We also offer grain-free snacks for dogs, ensuring your four-legged hiking companions stay fueled, healthy, and happy. Additionally, you will find fragrant handmade soaps and farm-fresh eggs tucked away in our honesty shed.
When the ovens are cooled, you’ll likely find us and Ember out seeking adventure in the mountains, fully embracing the Highland wilderness. Whether you are passing through or looking for a moment of peace, we hope you find our little heaven as inspiring as we do.
